The Big Black Friday

So I got to go shopping with 2 of my sisters and it was so much fun. We got some swinging deals and the best part about it is I got a new washer and dryer! Yeah! I am so excited for some clean clothes. :) I got almost all my shopping done for the year and that is a great feeling. We went and did the walmart thing at midnight and got most of the stuff we needed there, then went back to my house for a cat nap until 3:30 and off we went to sears to get the washer and dryer and Misti was a trooper and tackled Target for us. She stood in line for 2 hours to check out. I would say that is sisterly love. Thanks Mis!
After Sears Tiffani and I went to K-mart and got some good deals, then went to Harmons and got doughnuts and chocolate milk. MMM yum! Then we went and kept Misti company while she was still waiting in line. After Target it was off to Bed Bath and Beyond. I would say we hit a lot of stores. Oh the fun we had. After all the shopping we went to parents house for some great breakfast.
I decided it was time to go home and so Dave could be off to Fredonia and relieve him of taking care of Emmie and her cousin Khloee who slept over. When I got home I had a great surprise for me. The 2 girls were siting in my hair station and doing each others hair and I thought it was so cute until I got closer to them and I looked at the floor and saw all of Emmies hair gone. She got a great haircut from her cousin Khloee. They thought they were cute and my heart droped when I say the amount there. Lets just say I hope that will never happen again. I have fixed many of girls hair from wack jobs they have done on them selves but I thought I would never have to fix my own daughters hair! At least I could fix it ok. The crown of her head is still super short, like to the scalp short but that will just have to grow out because I am not buzzing that head. This was a Black Friday I will never forget. At least it is only hair and it does grow back! :)

This is the hair that was on the floor. See the mass of Hair!
My little rooster!!!! This is the awesome Mullet that was done. Oh this had to go!

The crown of her head!

The the first snip of the fix!

The final product! This face says it all!

This is what she looked like with long hair!

Emmie's 3rd Birthday and My Half Marathon

So Emmie is finally 3!!! How time has flown by. I cant believe that it has already been 3 years since we have adopted her and been in our lives. I cant imagine my life with out her. She has been such a joy in my life. It was so fun to have her birth mom, Tiffany, come and visit. Also Tiffany's brother, Jeff, came with her. It was nice to have them there. We thank Tiffany every day for being so loving and so willing to give this angel to us. She is my angel, miracle, and love of my life.
We had so many family members there and friends. It was fun to be able to celebrate this little girls birthday with so many people we love.

This is the cake or should I say cakes that I made for her birthday. I wasnt sure how many cakes I would need so I just made 2 different ones. Emmie wanted a castle cake so that is as good as it got for being a through together cake and then we made a beach with a patch of grass for her horse to be on. The cakes looked better before I tried to transport them to the park. At least it tasted good. That is what really matters.
Emmie got a bike from us and then a whole bunch of presents from so many people. She was ripping into those presents so fast I couldn't keep track of what people brought for her. So thank you all for the gifts!!!
We played in the water at the park and raced boats down the stream. It was hot but fun.

Last Saturday I ran my first half marathon. I have never ran that far before in my whole life. So I am pretty proud that I even finished. I finished the race in 2 hours and 17 minutes. I didnt even train for the last 4 weeks or so. I ran the Monday before the race to make sure I could remember how to run. I almost ran 10 miles that day. So this race was a great accomplishment. I will definitely do that race again. I almost want to do the marathon but I am not that crazy yet.

This is after the race with my cute family that was there to support me.

I was holding Emmie for this picture but she was crying to put her down because I was all wet. She makes me laugh.

Summer Catch Up

So much has happened in the last couple months that time is flying by. It has been a very busy, stressful, but fun summer. School ended and Dave has been really sick ever since. We have been to all kinds of Doctors to find out what is going on, finally last Thursday he had a colonoscopy done and that was funny in its self. But in that they were able to find out immediately that Dave has Crohns Disease. So now we know what is going on, we are now in the process in finding out what will help him to feel better since this is something that will not go away. He has lost over 20 lbs in the last month and he cant eat a whole lot. Cooking for him has been very difficult but he is now taking medication for it and he has felt so much better since then and he can now eat a little more than a mouse. I am so glad that he if feeling a little better because it has not been fun for him or the rest of us that have to live with the guy.

We went to Disneyland and Sea World. It was so much fun, except when Dave got sick on Saturday and Wednesday. We went to use our Disneyland tickets that we did the Give a day get a Disney day, and we went on the wrong day!!!! So we couldn't use our free tickets. We will have to go another time. Emmie had a ball in California. She was exhausted every day.

Over the 4th of July, we went up to Riverton and did a booth. I sold my hair bows and tutus and did alright. It was fun to see my sis-in-law and family even though it was a short amount of time. Dave got sick on that Saturday, so my bro-in-law was soooo nice and helped me set up and get ready for the day. Meggin and Daniel were so nice and helped me though out the day and they watched Emmie for me also. Since I didn't have Dave to help me it was nice to have family there.

Last week I made a wedding cake for Brad Baker and his new wife Katrine'. I love decorating cakes but this was my first wedding cake and it was kind of stressful especially trying to get it there. Now I get to work on Emmies birthday cake. Her birthday is on Wednesday and I am not sure what her cake is going to be this year. I better think of something fast because I don't have much time. I cant believe she is going to be 3 already. How time flys!!
This Saturday I have a big race coming up. I am running the Bryce Canyon Half Marathon. I am sooooo not ready. I was training really good and then life happened!! I haven't been running like I should have and so I am going to die but oh well I signed up so I am going to finish what I started. I will let you know if I am still alive or not.
Well that is all for now, sorry for the long post but I am trying to play catch up for the last 2 or 3 months.

EEE I O!

So this is kind of late, but for spring break we went up to Zions and had a great muddy time. It was cold and snowy when we went but we decided we were still going to go. On the way this is what we had to listen to. I am surprised that we even made it there without going to crazy.

We went on a little trail and it was so much fun and played in the snow and Emmie was sliding all over in the mud. I think she had so much fun and I didn't even care if she got muddy at all. What a good mom I am! Even her WHITE sock turned red. Imagine that!
It was so much fun that I think we will have to do it again real soon!

Happy Birthday Dave

Today is Dave's birthday and I have been the worst wife ever. Emmie and I took him some balloons and cookies at his work then when he got home we went shopping for his present because I was a slacker and didn't get him one thing. He pick out a razor! Awesome huh? Then we went out to dinner and had some wonderful crab and sushi. I am getting to love sushi so I am glad that he pick that place out. Is this what birthdays are like when you hit 31? Maybe its a good thing!
I want my dear husband to know how much I love him and all the things he does for me and our family. He is always making me laugh and also roll my eyes at the same time. He is a cowboy at heart and I don't think I will ever get him away from that no matter how hard I try. I sure hope you have or had, I should say, a great Birthday.
Man you sure are getting old!!! Love ya babe!

Congrats!

Congratulations to Misti for winning the bread maker. Man that was a great contest! I think I will do another one sometime. Obviously nobody wanted a bread maker. I hope you enjoy it Misti.
Also Congrats to my brother in law and sis in law for their new addition to their family. They had a little boy named Kayson David Cluff. Cute huh! Dave is soooo proud to have a kid named after him, well at least we think its named after him. I guess I will see them this weekend since they will be moving down here then. Horray!

Free Give A-Way

So I decided it would be fun to do a give-a-way. I have this awesome bread machine that works great. I just dont use it anymore. It does all kinds of bread, I think I even have the recipe book that goes along with it with all of the other kinds of bread. So I decided to have fun and do a drawing for it. FUN HUH! So leave a comment, it can just be your name if you want, and you are in the drawing. I will randomly draw a name and you win! Its that easy. So let the drawing begin!
